iEarn

In January 2011, iEarn contracted with Hotspot to assess and suggest upgrades to the technology that is utilized in their work.  iEARN empowers teachers and young people to work together online.  Through iEARN over 2,000,000 students a day are engaged in collaborative projects worldwide.  Hotspot engaged Ian Schuler of the New Rights Group and formerly of the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs for this project to assist in our assessment and recommendations.  Hotspot met with iEARN staff in New York City intensively in January and will continue through February probing how iEARNs current technology is deployed and exploring what functionality is desired of any new technologies.  The project is ongoing.
